Bucharest, Romania – Rapid Bucharest striker Albion Rrhamani has expressed his delight at his side’s 1-0 victory over Zaglebie Lubin in their fifth friendly match of the summer.
Rrhamani scored the only goal of the game in the 85th minute, finishing with a clinical strike after receiving a pinpoint pass from Andrei Borza.
The win was a good way for Rapid to prepare for the upcoming 2024-25 Superliga season, which will begin on July 13th with an away match against UTA Arad.
„It was a bit difficult, the pitch was very, very wet, but it was a very good test for us to move forward, to get to know each other better with the new players,” Rrhamani told RAPID TV.
„I’m happy that we won the game because we need to start winning games now.
Although I scored 17 goals last year, it was less than what I had set for myself, so this year I aim to become the top scorer in the league and, why not, the best player in the league. I want to score more than 25 goals.
But the most important thing for me is the team’s objective. We want to win the title. We can do it because we have a very good team,” Rrhamani added.
