Rapid beats Zaglebie in their fifth friendly of the summer

Bucharest, Romania – Rapid Bucharest defeated Zaglebie Lubin 1-0 in their fifth friendly match of the summer. The match was played at the Municipal Stadium in Lubin, Poland.

The only goal of the game was scored by Albion Rrhamani in the 85th minute. Rrhamani finished with a clinical strike after receiving a pinpoint pass from Andrei Borza.

The win was a good way for Rapid to prepare for the upcoming 2024-25 Superliga season. The club will begin their campaign on July 13th with an away match against UTA Arad.

Viorel Moldovan: „Rapid will be 100% ready to start strong at the beginning of the season”

Rapid Bucharest president Viorel Moldovan has expressed his confidence that the team will be fully prepared for the start of the 2024-25 Superliga season, following the release of the league’s fixture schedule.

„We will start strong,” Moldovan declared

„We have a tough schedule, but that’s what we’ve been preparing for. We’re looking forward to the competition and we have to be ready from all points of view, regardless of the opponent’s name. We need to be focused, that’s why we’re here (in Slovenia) to prepare properly and start the season strongly. The training camp is going well, the process is normal. We have a friendly match today against a Polish team (Zaglebie). The players are training perfectly, the involvement is total, the methodology is new with Neil’s arrival, there is a lot of work being done and I can’t wait to see the boys in action. Overall I’m happy, we still have two or three positions to cover, we’re looking, we’re in talks to complete the squad and make the team as competitive as possible,” Moldovan told RAPID TV.

The season will begin on July 13th, with Rapid playing away to UTA in the first round.
