Am luat în calcul meciurile din ultimii zece ani ai Rapidului. Zece ani în care am trecut de la culmile gloriei, la focurile ligii a doua. Am ajuns în numai un deceniu de la lacrimile de bucurie vărsate după calificarea cu Hamburg la emoţiile unei victorii cu FC Clinceni. Dar ăsta e Rapidul! Şi, pentru prima dată în această decadă, pe Giuleşti vine Călăraşiul. Încă un oraş adpugat pe harta fotbalistică a României care s-a format pe bătrânul nostru stadion.
Pe lângă întâlnirile tradiţionale cu echipele din Bucureşti, Rapid a jucat cu echipe din numeroase oraşe şi comune ale României. Poate mai mult decât oricare altă echipă, având în vedere faptul că două sezoane le-am petrecut şi în liga a doua. Aşadar, iată lista cu oraşele care şi-au trimis echipe pe Giuleşti în ultimii zece ani: Buzău, Constanţa, Galaţi, Suceava, Brăila, Clinceni, Piatra Neamţ, Baloteşti, Târgu Jiu, Craiova, Botoşani, Chiajna, Târgu Mures, Ploieşti, Ovidiu, Cluj-Napoca, Iaşi, Braşov, Giurgiu, Mediaş, Bacău, Slobozia, Berceni, Năvodari, Drobeta Turnu Severin, Tulcea, Satu Mare, Bistriţa, Vaslui, Sibiu, Otopeni, Mioveni, Timişoara, Urziceni, Brăneşti, Curtea de Argeş, Alba Iulia, Piteşti, Arad, Râmnicu Vâlcea şi Petroşani.
Majoritatea sunt oraşe, 34 la număr, restul fiind comune, toate cu excepţia Ovidiu din judeţul Ilfov. În total, 41 de localităţi. Călăraşi este a 42-a, iar etapa viitoare vom avea şi Pojorâta pe Giuleşti, poate cea mai pitorească localitate care ne vizitează după multe decenii. Am fi putut juca şi cu Tărlungeni acum două sezoane, dar terenul ne-a fost suspendat, motiv pentru care partida pe care de altfel am pierdut-o aproape şocant cu 1-0 s-a mutat la Ploieşti, pe vechiul stadion al Astrei.
